Kaplan & Partners is a privately held professional staffing firm serving San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles and San Diego. We are also a proud Business Partner of the Association of Legal Administrators. Our experience includes legal (including staff and attorneys), accounting and administrative professional placements – and we pride ourselves on taking the same exceptional level of care with each placement we make.
Our services include temporary staffing, project staffing and direct hire placements. Our network includes professionals throughout California with whom we’ve developed strong relationships over years in the market. Naomi Kaplan - Founder & Director, Southern California
Naomi’s first experience with the law came just after college when she worked as a litigation paralegal at Skadden Arps in Boston. While working at Skadden, she had the opportunity to meet a pro bono client from Guinea who inspired her to join the Peace Corps. After serving in Benin for two years, Naomi taught writing to high school seniors while she applied to law school. After graduating from Boston College Law School, where she was a published Senior Articles Editor of the Third World Law Journal, Naomi practiced as a litigator at a boutique firm in San Francisco before becoming a recruiter.
Naomi’s recruiting experience includes attorney search, partner level searches, project team placements, and countless support staff placements on both a direct hire and temporary basis. Prior to founding Kaplan & Partners, Naomi worked at an international legal staffing firm and at a nationwide legal staffing firm.
Zack Lyons - Director, Northern California
Zack has over a decade of legal experience and as Director of Northern California, he has placed administrative, accounting, legal, and management professionals throughout the Bay Area. He loves being a resource and an ally during a job search.
Prior to Kaplan & Partners, Zack worked at major law firms on all phases of litigation, including the United States Supreme Court. His on-the-ground understanding of law firm culture has made him an invaluable resource to both his candidates and clients, and Zack thrives on providing both parties with the highest caliber of service.
Zack is also proud to be captaining a team for his second AIDS LifeCycle bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, so you are likely to see him on a bike around the City or Marin. Zack is passionate about travel and spent a year in Nice, France studying the language and enjoying the Mediterranean. Zack is also a volunteer with The Trevor Project, a nationwide suicide and crisis resource for LGBTQ youth.
